Michelangelo's "Pieta". This may be my favorite work of art ever. He carved it out of a solid block of marble at the age of 22. His first Major work. It took him a little less than two years.
Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. I don't know what to tell you about this. everyone has seen this before. There is something about seeing it in person that truly evokes spiritual emotions. I cannot describe it further than that. >Neither I nor any photograph can fully describe the Sistine Chapel.

Michelangelo Painted himself as Jeremiah on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel

The old entrance to the Vatican Museum. A sculpture depicting Rafael and Michelangelo. Do you know which one is which?

Scenery from the train ride from Rome to Florence.

Wow! Your pictures are awesome in the true sense of the word.
I love your train ride picture.
I'm guessing Michaelangelo is on the left and Rafael is on the right . . .I've never seen that entrance statue before, it is so magnificent!
