I was doing my frequent routine of scouring around ebay for Shepard Fairey screenprints when I came across a new artist: Sherry Rasyidi. She was a featured artist for RVCA clothing and the Artist Network Program (ANP) last summer (2006)

I saw several pieces that I immediately connected with. This one was my favorite, and I was able to acquire it for a very reasonable price. It is called "diagramming". Take a peep.

When I was in high school, I had a teacher who loved sentence diagramming. I saw this from another RVCA artist and loved it so much because it brought memories back to me I had to re-do it. If you know sentence diagramming then the sentence reads "Reading, which challenges the intellect, is sometimes difficult but it is also rewarding." The background was painted with an oil based paint and then written over with an acrylic based paint.
