The G8 summit meetings have been underway for several days now. It is a gathering for the worlds 8 richest and most powerful countries to come together and discuss issues that will help alleviate the struggles of lesser developed countries. It usually ends up being a session for these 8 countries to talk about how they can benefit from one another and utilize poor countries to their advantage. George W. has effectively redirected the topic of poverty to the topic of "Where is a good place for the US to stage some missiles?" How ridiculous!!! Hopefully this brings to light the reasoning why some people are so adamantly against the G8 superpower. (The picture above was taken in Geneva, Switzerland in April 2007.)
